WHO SHOULD BE THE FIRST RESIDENT MONARCH OF AUSTRALIA?

We think that ideally a member of the Australian and British royal family who is not expected to become monarch of the United Kingdom should become the first resident monarch. As there are thousands of people in the line of succession to the Australian throne, and as some of them may reside in Australia, special consideration could be given to these people. The younger children of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark could become monarch, as they are in line to the Australian throne through their father and their mother is Australian. The current governor general or former governor generals could also be considered. Another idea would be for an Australian celebrity to become monarch.
